We compared OnSidedoor, Daniel House Club and Studio Mine - what did we find?
During my Technical business audits with designers, I often get asked which trade shopping platform is the best. While each platform offers a great selection of vendors and handles all procurement, questions frequently arise about how they compare in terms of pricing and profitability for the same set of items.
What did we compare?
For our comparison I choose 2 well known companies, Four Hands and Currey and Company and selected some bedroom essentials. Our comparison only looks at what your design client would pay for purchasing through one of these portals, this also includes shipping - shipping in all instances are standard curbside Residential shipping.

How did they compare?
Note our comparison is only for the amount your design client would pay. For our comparison, I chose the same US delivery to one of the Eastern US States with standard curbside shipping, this is how they stacked up:
OnSidedoor : $98367.11
Daniel House Club: $10 717.18
StudioMIne: $11 392.40
What about designer pricing?
Most designers operate within a business model that includes both design services and commissions on the furniture they source for their clients. Since this blog is accessible to the general public, I won't delve into specific designer pricing, as it varies across different interior design businesses.
However, if you're interested in learning how these three companies compare in terms of designer pricing and profit, feel free to get in touch. The results might surprise you!
